SkinnedModelProcessor BoneCount

My project has characters with more than 59 bones, almost 150 :(

Is this a hard limit or is it possible to increase it  changing values in SkinnedModelProcessor.cs  by recompiling the source?

The bone count limit of 59 is embedded in SkinnedModel.fx. (MaxBones 59) Do I need to just need to change this or write a new skinnedModel fx file?  If so, do you have any recommendations on a good way to do this?
