Human interaction of AR objects

Aug 30, 2010 at 10:29 AM

I am currently trying to explore interaction of 3D AR objects with human beings. As an example, I have a project which overlays a mp3 player on a marker. The mp3 player has a Start button, Pause Button and Stop button. The code is designed to play music on the click of a mouse button on the start button, puse the music on the cick of pause button, etc. I wonder if the same can be achieved through human interaction instead of mouse. For example, can I play the music by "touching" the start button with my hand. It would require some kind of motion detection. Does anybody have any idea whether such a thing can be achieved?

i have similar idea like you, i want to creating a virtual game controller, my idea is using several markers that represent buttons, if a marker blocked by a finger (mean you push the marker) that button is pressed
