creating multiple markers

Oct 14, 2010 at 2:30 AM

Hi,

I'm starting to learn GoblinXNA at school and my project requires multiple markers. I don't need them to contain custom text or images. I found this thread saying you can create markers for Alvar, but it's not quite detailed: http://goblinxna.codeplex.com/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=76359

In this other thread, I found references to vvt and MarkerLayout programs, but I can find neither of them...

I got GoblinXNA v3.4 and Alvar 1.3.0. installed and working.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

Fanfan

MarkerLayout is included with the package, and it's under tools/ directory. It's mentioned in the User Manual.

The above thread is for you to create individual marker images for ALVAR library.

These images are needed for MarkerLayout program to generate the marker array image.

If you simply want to use single marker for tracking, then you don't need MarkerLayout, and simply use the individual image generated by ALVAR.

Make sure you know which ID is associated with which marker image.

Thanks Ohan!

I'll try all that next week, now I'm overwhelmed with work. I'll let you know how it went.
