Playing and controlling video in GoblinXNA

I am able to play the video in my app using VideoPlayer (XNA). But the control over the video is kind of limited. I mean if I only want to play a portion of the video, I don't have a way (or at least I don't know) to do it.

Let say if I want to jump in and start play from the middle of the video instead of the beging and then end the video somewhere before the ending of the video. I have been trying to figure out if there is a work around but couldn't find anything.

I also consider to integrate VLC to the app, but seems can't find a clue to start?

If anyone has done this or any clue, please help to share?

If it's XNA issue, you probably get better answer in the XNA community (e.g., App Hub) rather than here.

How is your thesis going on?

I did post there but still want to post here just in case someone here face it and if I can get answer from XNA, I'll also update here.
